📊 MIXED Lindsay Corp Q2 revenue $157.7M, net income $12.0M; irrigation & infrastructure segments
Revenue & Profitability
Total revenues for Q2 fiscal 2026 were $157.7 million, a decrease of 16% from $187.1 million in the prior year. Net earnings were $12.0 million, or $1.16 per diluted share, compared to $26.6 million, or $2.44 per share, last year. Operating income was $13.0 million versus $32.1 million. Irrigation segment operating income was $19.5 million (13.8% margin), and infrastructure segment operating income was $1.2 million (7.1% margin).
Outlook
Management expects softer market conditions in North America to persist due to low commodity prices, trade uncertainty, and higher input costs. In Brazil, recovery depends on the July 2026 crop plan and favorable financing rates. The MENA project is on schedule but faces risk from the duration of the Middle East conflict. International markets show long-term growth potential from food security and water management needs.
Growth Drivers
Growth is driven by international irrigation projects, particularly in the MENA region, and by the road safety products segment, which grew 6% excluding the large Road Zipper project. New products (AlphaGuard, Road Runner) target expanding end markets. Long-term secular growth is seen in Brazil due to low irrigation penetration and three-crop-per-year cycles.
Balance Sheet & CapEx
Capital investments at the Lindsay, Nebraska facility include a new tube mill now operational and a galvanizing facility expected online near the end of fiscal 2026 or early fiscal 2027. The incremental depreciation from these investments is expected to offset near-term efficiency gains until market volumes recover.
Margins
Irrigation segment operating margin declined to 13.8% from 18.5% a year ago due to fixed cost deleverage from lower volumes, unfavorable regional mix, and input cost inflation. Infrastructure margin fell to 7.1% from 34.1% due to the absence of a $20 million Road Zipper project. Management expects continued deleverage in the near term with no significant change in mix.
Key Risks
Key risks include the duration of the Middle East conflict potentially disrupting the MENA project and supply chains; weak farm profitability and trade uncertainty in North America; high interest rates and limited credit access in Brazil; and input cost inflation. The Brazil crop plan release in July is uncertain, impacting customer buying decisions.

Financial Model
Projections are built from each company's audited annual financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) over the last 5 fiscal years. Forward assumptions — revenue growth %, EBITDA margin, D&A (USD millions), interest expense, tax rate, and capex — are AI-generated using historical context and refreshed twice a year: after the December results season and after the September/Q4 results season.

DCF Valuation
Fair Value = Σ(FCFt / (1+WACC)t) + Terminal Value. Terminal Value uses the Gordon Growth Model: FCF5 × (1+g) / (WACC−g). Default WACC: 10% (US risk-free ~4.5%, equity risk premium ~5.5%). Default terminal growth: 3% (long-run US nominal GDP proxy).

Expected 5-year CAGR = (DCF Fair Value / Current Price)1/5 − 1. Assumes fair value is reached in exactly 5 years — a mechanical estimate only.
