What Went Right
  • Product revenue grew 19% YoY to $463M, the eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit product growth.
  • Direct AI use-case customers surged 50% in Q3; AI security customer count doubled quarter-over-quarter.
  • FY26 revenue growth outlook raised to ~9%-10% from 7%-8%, with non-GAAP EPS guided to $17.21-$17.33.
What to Watch
  • APAC revenue declined 11% YoY, attributed by management to shipment timing rather than demand.
  • Management declined to raise FY27 gross margin guidance (80%-82%) given volatile memory/component pricing.
  • Software revenue grew only 7% YoY; re-acceleration to double digits is expected in FY27, not the current year.
Management Guidance
  • Q4 FY26 revenue: $870M-$890M (near 9% YoY growth at midpoint)
  • Q4 FY26 non-GAAP EPS: $4.14-$4.26
  • FY26 non-GAAP EPS raised to $17.21-$17.33; revenue growth ~9%-10%
Investor Lens
The thesis is stronger after this call. F5 is riding a hardware refresh supercharged by AI traffic and sovereignty-driven repatriation, and it raised full-year guidance on 19% product growth. The key forward test is whether software growth re-accelerates in FY27 from a stronger renewal cohort, as management expects. Component cost inflation and APAC shipment timing are the near-term risks to watch.

Key Risks
Management kept FY27 gross margin guidance at 80%-82% due to uncertain memory and storage component costs, despite near-term easing. APAC's 11% revenue decline was explained as shipment timing. Software growth remains mid-single-digit, with re-acceleration only expected in FY27 from a stronger renewal cohort.
Outlook
Q4 revenue is guided to $870M-$890M with non-GAAP EPS of $4.14-$4.26. For FY26, revenue growth is now expected at ~9%-10% and non-GAAP EPS at $17.21-$17.33.

Financial Model
Projections are built from each company's audited annual financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) over the last 5 fiscal years. Forward assumptions — revenue growth %, EBITDA margin, D&A (USD millions), interest expense, tax rate, and capex — are AI-generated using historical context and refreshed twice a year: after the December results season and after the September/Q4 results season.

DCF Valuation
