Indian & US Stock Data as Live Formulas in Google Sheets™
Type =FINMAGINE_DATA("NSE:TCS","pe")
and get the number. Build watchlists, financial models and screens on live Finmagine data,
with no copy-pasting and no CSV exports.
Every analyst has the same routine: open a screener, export a CSV, paste it into a sheet, fix the formatting, and do it all again next week. The numbers go stale the moment you paste them.
With Finmagine for Sheets the cell is the query. Put a symbol in column A and a formula beside it. When the underlying data changes, so does your sheet. Your models, watchlists and charts stay current without a manual step.
Every symbol carries its market prefix, so there is never any guessing: NSE: or BSE: for India; NASDAQ:, NYSE: or AMEX: for the US. Prefer not to type it? Set a default market once per workbook from the Finmagine menu.
One metric for one company, in one cell. Valuation ratios, returns, margins, RS rating, price and more.
Quarterly or annual statements spill into a table you can chart or model on.
Trend and relative-strength readings for a company, as a single row.
A whole watchlist in one call: many companies, many metrics. Higher plans.
Filter the market by your own criteria and get the matches as a table. Higher plans.
Lists every metric you can ask for, so you never have to guess a key.
Also included: FINMAGINE_US_RATIOS for the full US ratio table, and FINMAGINE_QUOTA to see your plan and remaining requests. FINMAGINE() works as a short alias of FINMAGINE_DATA().
Add Finmagine for Sheets from the Google Workspace Marketplace. It works only with the spreadsheet you are in.
Choose Create Sample Sheets from the Finmagine menu. It adds India and US watchlists, a company-detail page, a screener and a metric reference to your current spreadsheet. It never overwrites your existing tabs.
Choose Connect and sign in with your Finmagine account. Prefer an API key? Configure API Key works too. The formulas fill in.
If a formula shows an error, hover over the cell: the message says what happened, for example that the add-on is not connected or that a function needs a higher plan. Wrap any formula in IFERROR to show a friendlier fallback.
A free Finmagine account works with usage limits. Higher plans raise the limits and unlock batch lookups, screens and US ratio tables. Daily and hourly limits depend on your plan, and FINMAGINE_QUOTA() always shows what you have left. See API plans for current details.

Only the symbols and metric names in your formulas go to Finmagine, so it can answer them. Finmagine does not read the other contents of your spreadsheet.
It is limited to the spreadsheet where you use it. It can show its menu and dialogs, and it can connect to finmagine.com. It has no access to your other files in Google Drive.
Sign in through a Finmagine consent screen, and Finmagine never sees your Google password. Choose Disconnect from the Finmagine menu to remove access from the sheet. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The add-on itself is free. You need a Finmagine account to sign in. A free account works with usage limits; higher plans raise the limits and unlock batch lookups, screens and some US data.
No. Choose Connect and sign in with your Finmagine account. If you prefer an API key, you can paste one with Configure API Key.
Indian companies on NSE and BSE, and US companies on NASDAQ, NYSE and AMEX.
The usual causes are that the add-on is not connected, the formula needs a higher plan, or your hourly limit is used up. Hover over the cell to read the message, and use About / Diagnostics in the Finmagine menu to see your connection and quota.
Choose Refresh Data in the Finmagine menu. Formulas also pick up new data on their own as it updates. To protect your quota, a refresh is skipped when you are close to your limit and the existing values stay in place.
No. Only the symbols and metric names you type into formulas are sent.
Yes. Formulas run under the connection of the person who has them open, so a collaborator who wants live data should connect their own Finmagine account.
