📊 MIXED Weyerhaeuser Q1 2026: Adjusted EBITDA $308M, up 120% QoQ, on $1.7B sales.
Revenue & Profitability
Q1 2026 GAAP earnings were $156 million ($0.22 per diluted share), excluding special items earnings were $77 million ($0.11 per diluted share). Adjusted EBITDA was $308 million, a 120% increase from Q4 2025. Cash from operations was $52 million. The company ended the quarter with $300 million cash and $5.4 billion total debt.
Outlook
Management views the housing market as 'stuck in second gear' due to low consumer confidence, affordability challenges, and the Middle East conflict causing inflation. Mortgage rates have ticked up to ~6.3%. Recent lumber price increases are encouraging, and longer-term fundamentals (demographics, underbuilt housing) remain favorable. Repair/remodel activity is steady but lacks a clear catalyst.
Growth Drivers
Key growth levers include new product introductions (AeroStrand, ProPanel), expansion of distribution footprint (new locations in Montana and Tennessee), and growth in Southern yellow pine log exports to markets like India. Renewable energy (solar/wind leases) and climate solutions (conservation easements) are also growth areas.
Balance Sheet & CapEx
Capital expenditures were $112 million in Q1, including $30 million for the Monticello EWP facility. The company anticipates approximately $300 million of investments for Monticello in 2026, which will be excluded from adjusted FAD. Monticello is expected to start up next year.
Margins
In Wood Products, lumber adjusted EBITDA improved $84 million QoQ due to higher prices and lower unit costs. OSB EBITDA improved $13 million. Engineered Wood Products EBITDA declined $10 million due to lower realizations and higher raw material costs. Management expects second quarter Wood Products EBITDA to be comparable to Q1, excluding price changes, with improved volumes offset by higher costs from inflation and maintenance outages.
Key Risks
Risks flagged include ongoing housing market weakness, elevated macroeconomic uncertainty from the Middle East conflict causing inflationary pressures on fuel, resin, and transportation, and potential tariff changes. Management also noted that softwood lumber duties could adjust. Consumer confidence and mortgage rates are key headwinds.

Financial Model
Projections are built from each company's audited annual financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) over the last 5 fiscal years. Forward assumptions — revenue growth %, EBITDA margin, D&A (USD millions), interest expense, tax rate, and capex — are AI-generated using historical context and refreshed twice a year: after the December results season and after the September/Q4 results season.

DCF Valuation
Fair Value = Σ(FCFt / (1+WACC)t) + Terminal Value. Terminal Value uses the Gordon Growth Model: FCF5 × (1+g) / (WACC−g). Default WACC: 10% (US risk-free ~4.5%, equity risk premium ~5.5%). Default terminal growth: 3% (long-run US nominal GDP proxy).

CAGR Tracker
Expected 5-year CAGR = (DCF Fair Value / Current Price)1/5 − 1. Assumes fair value is reached in exactly 5 years — a mechanical estimate only.
